I've been kind of selfish lately, focusing on the "unfair" aspects of my life. When in reality, I truly am one very blessed individual. Sure my life has drastically changed over the last year, but who's life isn't constantly changing? I know that I need to stop comparing my life to others because no one is without struggles. My life is not better or worse than anyone's around me, it is just different. That is something I definitely need to remember. Everyone fights their own battles. Things happen. All we can really do is take these experiences, learn from them, and move on.

I feel like I always blog about lyrics, but there's just so many lame lyrics out there I can't help it. Peter Gene Hernandez, better known as "Bruno Mars" (first of all, what?) has released a new song "Grenade" that I don't really understand. If you listen to the chorus, it would sound as if he is really in love with this girl he is singing to: "I'd catch a grenade for ya, throw my hand on a blade for ya, I'd jump in front of a train for ya, you know I'd do anything for ya...." It sounds like he would die for this girl, but then the verses have lines like: "Black, black, black and blue, beat me till I'm numb, tell the devil I say 'hey' when you get back to where you're from, mad woman bad woman that's just what you are, yeah you smile in my face then rip the breaks out my car." You probably shouldn't be willing to jump in front of a train for someone who rips the breaks out of your car. Just sayin.

Blizzard '10 update: 10:30 pm and it is not snowing

There is currently widespread panic in Utah over the severe snow storm that is coming. Campus closed at 3 pm today. I went to Smiths to buy a couple things and there was literally no where to park. People are freaaaking out. And guess what? there were still blue skies at like 430 pm. Calm down, everyone. (I'm going to look like an ass when I wake up tomorrow and there is like 6 feet of snow on the ground) But for now I'd say the panic is a bit unnecessary.

I feel like Ben Affleck may or may not have quite a lame-o reputation to most of the world. This reputation is kind of justified, having starred in such films as Daredevil, Jersey Girl, and Gigli. I personally think he is pretty great though. He directed Gone Baby Gone and also directed/starred in The Town, which were both very successful in my opinion. Maybe I just like them because they take place in Bahston. Or maybe I like them because they are great movies. You should see them. Maybe your opinion of Ben will change, but maybe it won't. And maybe I should say "maybe" one more time. Maybe.
