I feel like I always blog about lyrics, but there's just so many lame lyrics out there I can't help it. Peter Gene Hernandez, better known as "Bruno Mars" (first of all, what?) has released a new song "Grenade" that I don't really understand. If you listen to the chorus, it would sound as if he is really in love with this girl he is singing to: "I'd catch a grenade for ya, throw my hand on a blade for ya, I'd jump in front of a train for ya, you know I'd do anything for ya...." It sounds like he would die for this girl, but then the verses have lines like: "Black, black, black and blue, beat me till I'm numb, tell the devil I say 'hey' when you get back to where you're from, mad woman bad woman that's just what you are, yeah you smile in my face then rip the breaks out my car." You probably shouldn't be willing to jump in front of a train for someone who rips the breaks out of your car. Just sayin.

ps I'm obsessed with taylor swift's album right now and her lyrics..

"wasn't it easier in your firefly-catchin' days?
and everything out of reach, someone bigger brought down to you
wasn't it beautiful runnin' wild 'til you fell asleep
before the monsters caught up to you?"

    haha just sayinnnn
